The company must have a local address and representative with signatory rights.
In order to register, a foreign company must submit all the necessary documents to the Registrar of Companies.
After the registration is complete, the Registrar will issue the company a certificate of incorporation and a company number (of 9 digits).
Important: an Israeli lawyer is required to verify the company documents. Usually a lawyer will handle the process for most requests and represent the company at the Companies Registrar office as well.
Prior to opening a file with the tax authorities, a company must open a bank account in Israel.
Once the company has been registered it is obligated to open files with the tax authorities (corporate tax, WHT – withholding tax and VAT – value added tax), social security and health insurance.
